Fred Heyden is an exceptional musician. He’s a songwriter, singer, composer, guitarist, pedal steeler, entertainer and story-teller.  His stage performance captures his love for the guitar, his distinctive voice and the fun he has with the song texts, instruments and the audience itself. 

At festivals, concerts, in pubs and on theatre stages Fred Heyden plays self-made songs and string classics for folk, country, steel and western guitar.  He inspires audiences from the Australian outback to Konstanz, composes both atmospheric ballads and danceable folk and country songs.  As pedal steeler, dobro, mandolin and banjo man he plays rhythm and solo guitar and is an excellent, experienced session musician.
